You're never far away from an incredible wedding venue in Winchester, but even with so many options around you'd still struggle to find somewhere with as much 'wow' factor as the Great Hall. This beautiful, ancient building dates back to the thirteenth century, was part of the original site for the castle at the top end of town, and houses King Arthur's round table. It's huge but still intimate, imposing and absolutely jaw-dropping. And at last, having ticked pretty much everywhere else in and around the city off my list, I got to cover a wedding there. Hannah & Frank's wonderful wedding to be precise, with a reception in the barn at Norton Park, a few miles to the north. So exciting times for me then, but of course nowhere near as exciting as for this lovely, charming couple.
Just a quick preview for the moment, but rest assured there will be plenty more where these came from once they've seen the full set and I put together the main blog post. I couldn't resist sharing just a handful in the meantime though...
Huge congratulations to you both, Hannah & Frank, and have an incredible honeymoon (can you guess where they've gone? The ring shot above might give a little clue...) - can't wait to share the rest of the photos with you!
